It's official...
We closed on our property yesterday and we truly could not be more excited!!! Between photography/Photo Booth stuff, work, Jordan's birthday last week, school, getting stuff taken care of with the property, and life in general, we have been the busiest we've literally ever been over the past couple weeks. So we decided we were going to take the night off from life and go up to the property to celebrate last night on the official closing date.
We never got a picture of us next to our SOLD sign when we bought our house -- oddly enough, I actually don't think there was one. So I was adamant about getting a picture of us next to the SOLD sign on our new property. :)
More view pictures! This is facing southwest -- if you look closely, you'll see Jordan towards the bottom right corner marking where the southern most point of our house will hopefully be one day. Not a bad view, huh?!
I packed a picnic for dinner -- turkey and avocado sandwiches, strawberries, Kettle Chips, and cookie/brownie bars for dessert. I got Jordan these two Adirondack chairs for his birthday, which are actually plastic so they'll be easy to haul back and forth.
When Jordan got into Law School at GU, my Mom bought him a bottle of Jordan wine and we have been saving it for a special occasion. Originally, we were going to drink it when he graduated but it was a pretty hectic day and we never got around to it. So we figured it was the perfect time to enjoy it together! Well, the one thing I forgot for our picnic was our wine opener... go figure! Luckily there's a little grocery store right down the road from the property and they had one. :)
One of the things we love the most about the property is that it kind of forces you to take a deep breath, relax, and forget about everything in life that's stressful. It was perfect timing for us to celebrate this next big adventure in our life together last night... I love this picture below because it seems to sum up our night.
Jordan was pretty excited to be able to drive golf balls into the woods. :) I guess that's just one perk of having a lot of land to yourself!
At the end of the day, we feel so blessed and fortunate to be able to pursue this amazing opportunity and share this dream together. God is so good!
We are so in love with our very own little slice of heaven and can't wait to see what our future has in store for us there...
