Matt + Bekah | Wedding

I may be a little biased because the bride is my best and oldest friend, but I have to admit it, Bekah and Matt's wedding was hands down the most unique, personal, and raddest (is that a word?) wedding I've ever seen. [You may remember Bekah and Matt from their awesome Atlanta engagement shoot.]


And the best part? Bekah gave me the best gift a friend could give; she only asked me to shoot her "getting ready" shots and some shots around Seattle of her and Matt so I could be present at and enjoy her wedding. She will never know how much that meant to me...

Bekah got ready at her and Matt's amazing downtown loft, and even though there was a little rain, we trekked all around downtown Seattle for the rest of the shoot. Bekah and Matt's wedding theme was "vintage circus" and it was honestly the coolest thing I've ever seen -- they rented vintage umbrellas, had gourmet donuts instead of cake, had our Photo Booth but labeled it the "kissing booth", had handmade feather corsages for us ladies who were honorary bridesmaids, the honorary groomsmen had handmade button boutonnieres... it was so fun and so them. Since I only shot the first half of the wedding, I was unable to get pictures of the ceremony and reception, but you can see some here that were taken by their awesome photographer that they hired for the rest of the day. Oh, and I almost forgot, their wedding venue, Pravda Studios, was also probably the coolest venue I've ever been to. Have I said how cool this wedding was? Okay, I'll stop now.

I love you both so much and your big day could not have been more beautiful and perfect! Thank you for letting us be a part of it, but also for letting us enjoy celebrating the two of you. :)

Kevin + Kaitlyn | Engagement

To say I'm a little behind on the blog would be the understatement of the century. But I am now finished with my Masters program (more on that later...) and can finally start catching up!

Up first on the catch-up list is Kevin and Kaitlyn's engagement session up on Green Bluff. Jordan and I met Kevin a few summers ago when we all worked at Beacon Hill together, and to make a long story short, Jordan and Kevin have what I like to call a bro-mance. :) Seriously, these two could talk investment opportunities and real estate all day long. And not to mention that Kevin is just one of those all-around good guys... who met one of those all-around good girls, named Kaitlyn!


This couple is so sweet, so fun, and just down to earth... oh, and smokin' hot! But best of all? They are so obviously in love. There is actually a series of three pictures you'll see (the ones where Kaitlyn is wrapped in my brown blanket by the wood crates) that I simply couldn't choose between because I loved them all. There are times as a photographer where you witness an expression or look between a couple that make you stop and realize that you're a part of something really cool...

Levi + Meg | Engagement

When our friends, Levi and Meg, asked me to photograph their wedding this summer, I was beyond stoked. If you knew this couple, you'd understand why. They are crazy fun, yet so down to earth; wildly successful, yet incredibly humble... and, let's be honest, they are just flat out beautiful people, which makes my job so easy. ;)

I have been wanting to try out a certain location for an engagement shoot for quite a while now, and when I broached the idea to Meg and Levi, they were totally game! (Music to my ears!) So we met up at The Elk -- which is also never a bad thing -- and then headed out to Old Town, which you Spokanites will know better as Hillyard. Yep, that's right. We explored random side streets, found a big chalk board (love!), and even stumbled upon a vintage ferris wheel. Ummm, yeah, I did just say vintage ferris wheel... (insert one million exclamation points here to convey my excitement!) All-in-all, I would say this is one of my all-time favorite engagement shoots. Thank you, Levi and Meg, for being so rad! We are so excited to shoot your wedding in August!!
